This is the South Indian Restaurant at the Cinnamon Grand, which earlier had a fine restaurant called The Indian Restaurant during its Oberoi days. This new restaurant has a very wide menu variety, beautifully divided into the cuisines of the various states of Southern India, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. There are over 20 kinds of dosai, both vegetarian and non vegetarian, as well as exotic offerings such as Prawn Masala, Cashew Nut and Onion Raga. If you are looking for a South Indian feast, it would be difficult to find an alternative to this in Colombo.

Great place to dine with the family. Parking is not a issue, since Valet parking is there. Delivery times are reasonable (Papaddam & Chutney will keep you busy till they arrive). Portions are ideal too. Great authentic Indian taste. Staffs were attentive and courteous. Will go there again? Yes, of course.
Biriyani was yummy! Quantity was good. Staff was friendly and food was served on time.

We just dined here today, the food and portions were really good. and the staffs were friendly.
One worst experience was we had a take-away order and we got charged. but came home to find the bag empty with just some curries. Called the customer care to inform this and he just hung up. Tried to call him again and then he apologies. Not so good for a restaurant like this,
A good atmosphere with an Indian food, loved the foods. Place is great, but takes more time to bring the food & of course the bill as well.
Not a patch on the South Indian Cuisine at the Hotel Renuka, or the general Indian Cuisine at the Mango Tree. That said if you want great ambiance, five star service and a lovely setting, with some pretty decent food. This is the place for you. The portions are small but tasty and the selection is vast. Not too heavy in flavor or spice..
This is a very popular Indian restaurant in Colombo that serves delicious meals from prawn masala, dosai and many more. The staff are very friendly and greet you when you arrive at the restaurant. This restaurant is located on the lobby level on the hotel. The interior decor of the restaurant symbolises, class and elegance.
I went to this palace unexpectedly with friends. To my surprise they had rice and curries unlike many other restaurants.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food, very clean place and reasonably priced.
The service is quite slow, and we had to signal about 11 waiters before one deigned to serve us. Because of the crowds who have discovered this fine restaurant. the kitchen as well as the waiters seem rather stretched.
