The nightly themed international dinner buffets are among the more generous at the 5 star hotels in Central Colombo. Recently, ice cream and a fruit juice counter has been added. The juices are not included in the buffet price. Service is usually kept at a high standard, though huge crowds during promotions may stretch the staff. Be patient, they will look after you. The decor includes bags of spices right in the centre. The setting in the domed wooden ceiling gives a sense of being on a ship. The A la carte menu portions are not particularly generous, but the Sunday Brunch buffet is. The food varies, depending on the night. The Sri Lankan, Indian and Chinese dishes (in the buffet) are usually excellent.
