There are six experienced chefs, and plans are underway to introduce a bar with live music. The décor is now more attractive, with a particularly impressive and elegant front appearance. The food is tasty and decent value. The menu card is a photocopied sheaf of crumpled paper, with only the name of the dish - this could be improved upon. The service is prompt and courteous.

not happy, the thali I had didnt make me go mmm as I usually do in other restaurents which are cheaper too
One of the best indian restaurants available in the town I must say. Their mutton buriyani is definitely a customer magnet!! mm.. Tried a little of prawn and chicken buriyanis too, but they were mediocre and not quite good as the mutton. For me, the masala tea priced at 170/- just tasted like an average normal tea. And also the lack of a parking space in a very narrow road is something for the management to consider. That being said, the place looks worth another visit to try out the other items in the menu.
From the outside the place looks very cozy, but inside the decor is a bit bland.The staff was very attentive and actually recommended we reduced the order because it was too much for just the two of us. The food was excellent. Especially the chicken biryani, mango lassi and the veg pakora was appreciated. Their masala chai was the perfect ending to a great meal!
I have patronized amarawathie from it's inception in the early 1990's , they seriously need to be less rigid in terms of menu? Can't serve this at this time etc., if you can get what you want when you want ?? Then very very tasty food and reasonable.
