Fortune Boat is Chinese co-owned and run. Authentic Chinese food with plates that differ greatly from the typical 'Sri Lankan Chinese' restaurants. This is located in a quiet side lane near Independence Avenue, adjoining a large natural pond. Until visiting this restaurant, one would never realize that this space exists. Downstairs is an open-ventilated restaurant has a view into the pond. The setting and decor in the section downstairs is not typical of a Chinese restaurant and the lighting with multi-coloured lampshades, though bright, is pleasant and bearable.
