Got a custom made b'day cake for my daughter's 2nd . Their cake was really dry and decoration was really poor quality. Didn't expect such a bad cake from sponge for a expensive price
Each time I visit sponge its items become smaller and more expensive. While I appreciate that the ingredients used is of good quality, one has to think about the quantity and pricing. The lamprais is simply awful. Worst I have ever tried. For that price, there is far better quality out there! The mini burger was filled with mayonnaise. What has happened to tasty short eats????
I think this place is famous for their Spongie Cakes :) soft , tasty, love them , nice Logo they have :)
Love it especially the chicken Chinese rolls. The iced coffee is expensive but good
Actually this is a good place! The food is clean and taste is much good! The staffs are always friendly and on time.

Sponge is located on Galle Road opposite Pan Asia Bank. It is a pastry shop that is also known for it's delectable cakes. This outlet is very popular among the work crown that visits the place during lunch breaks on week day. The staff are very friendly and quite to serve you. There are wide ranges of cakes, which makes it easy for one to select. They also have a great select of deserts and other delicious pastries.
Sponge has a great location and is actually very good. There are two different seating areas to choose from. Either you can choose to sit in the cafeteria style area or the lounge sit down area.
The have a great selection of desserts and Sri Lankan pastry/eatery items. Both are great. The difficulty is in knowing what their drink menu is, since its not posted up anywhere.
Their service is good. Sometimes you have wiggle your way through some people to place your order. But that common in many Sri Lankan restaurants.
Overall, sponge is great and worth a visit.
